Good news for those planning a trip to Rome and a visit to the Vatican Museums: from April 26th until October 25th 2019, every Friday you can visit them in the evening. It will be active every Friday between 7:00pm and 11:00pm as part of the exhibition “Musei di sera Arte, Musica”. The idea of the Nocturnes is precisely that of transforming for a few hours the museum spaces in places where to be amazed, to learn while having fun, to listen to music, to dine together, to discover beauty far from the frenzy of commitments and daily activities. For this reason, the exhibition also includes a rich program of classical, jazz or popular music concerts which – at 8:00pm – will brighten up the Friday nights at the museum. The concerts will last an hour, and will be held in the splendid setting of the Cortile della Pigna (where happy hour will also be staged) and among the famous Greek and Roman sculptures of the Gregoriano Profano Museum. And it is not, the evening opening of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, the only initiative that Rome has launched for the summer: every Saturday the Train of the Pontifical Villas is active, which starts from the ancient Vatican Station, inside the Papal States, and arrives at the stations of Castel Gandolfo and Albano Laziale.
