The most authentic experiences and tastings of the famous Tuscan delicacies in the hills surrounding Florence just 20’ away from the Old city.

The Truffle  Experience with Giulio, the historical truffle master of the  Bagno  Ripoli area, will be memorable and educational, for the truffles lovers.

Giulio will meet you at his home on the hills overlooking Florence. You will immediately begin truffle hunting with Giulio and his trained dog throughout the woods for a maximum of one hour around his home in the south Florence hills. Back at his home Giulio will give you  a short educational introduction on what truffle really is. Then sipping a glass of wine you will taste your catches with pecorino cheese and focaccia.

The next stop is at the small family owned oil press which Andrea built next to his stone house, a true technical jewel able to turn the just picky olives, grown exclusively on his propriety, into outstanding top quality organically grown extra virgin olive oil winner of several awards at extra virgin olive nationwide contests.

You will taste the olive oil on different kinds of bruschetta after having learned about the different olives varieties he’s growing and which are the right steps to achieve outstanding quality olive oil .

Last your guide will take you to the historical Villa Medicea di Lilliano, a magnificent former Medici family’s villa  which was turned by the Malenchini family, the present owner since the 1800s. Its scenic location with a huge terrace overlooking Florence and its surrounding hills  make it a very unique estate.

After having discovered its gardens and cellars you will enjoy tasting its  two red Chianti Colli Fiorentini wines,  besides one super Tuscan with the pairing local cold cuts and as the final delight a glass of Vino Santo with the biscotti Cantucci.
