DAY 1: Porto: Arrival at Porto airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Porto.
DAY 2: Porto: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a full day tour in Porto. São Bento Station, with its atrium lined with tiles, is an ideal starting point. Just ahead is the Cathedral, whose precinct offers the first view of the river, the cascading houses and the opposite bank. From there you descend by steps and mediaeval streets to Ribeira, with its café terraces and picturesque corners. It’s worth staying a little to get a flavor of the atmosphere. Before lunch, you will take a 50-minutes cruise through the Douro. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Porto.
DAY 3: Porto – Guimaraes – Peso Da Régua – Porto: Breakfast at the hotel. We leave to Guimaraes, a city designated as the “Cradle of Portugal”, because it’s the place where the first king of Portugal was born there. A city full of history and beauty, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue to Peso da Régua. Located along the Douro River, this city had a preponderant role in the production and marketing of Port Wine, since it was from here that the wine barrels were transported in rabelos boats to Vila Nova de Gaia, where the wine aged in the cellars. Then we will visit a winery to visit the wineries and wine tasting. Return to Porto. Overnight in Porto.
DAY 4: Porto – Aveiro – Coimbra – Fátima: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure to Aveiro, the “Venice of Portugal”, known for the beauty of its water channels, one of the most interesting natural formations along the coast of Portugal. We head towards the city of Coimbra, whose historical area of the university is a World Heritage Site. We continue to Fátima, place of faith and center of world pilgrimage. Overnight in Fátima.
DAY 5: Fátima – Óbidos – Lisbon: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure to the charming village of Óbidos. Travel back in time in this walled medieval town and admire its Gothic churches and the narrow winding streets in stone. Proceed to Lisbon. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.
DAY 6: Lisbon – Sintra – Lisbon: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel towards Sintra, a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the charms and history of the town that enchanted kings and poets. Visit to the romantic National Pena Palace. Free time to lunch. We leave for Belém, where monuments referring to the Maritime Discovery era in the 15th and 16th centuries were erected, such as the Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jerónimos Monastery. Visit to the National Coaches Museum, containing one of the most important and rich collections of coaches in the world. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.
DAY 7: Lisbon – Évora:
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. We set out to discover the charming and medieval walled town of Évora rising in the middle of the beautiful Alentejo plains. Take the opportunity to visit the ex-libris of the UNESCO World Heritage City: the Roman Temple dating from the 3rd century AD, the Roman-Gothic Cathedral (Sé de Évora), and the Church of São Francisco whose main attraction is Chapel of Bones. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Évora.
DAY 8: Évora – Seville: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure to Seville. On the banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville has a rich Arab heritage. The capital of Andalusia exudes joy and excitement in the streets and squares that make up its historic center, housing an interesting collection of UNESCO World Heritage buildings and popular neighborhoods such as Triana and La Macarena. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Seville.
DAY 9: Seville – Cordoba – Seville: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure to Cordoba. This ancient city, declared a World Heritage Site, is a living legacy of the many cultures that have settled on it throughout history. Walking through the old quarter of Cordoba is discovering a beautiful network of white-washed streets, squares and courtyards arranged around the Mosque-Cathedral, reflecting the importance of the city during the medieval era and true symbol of the capital. Overnight in Seville.
DAY 10: Seville – Madrid: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Private transfer from the hotel to the train station. Departure by train from Seville to Madrid. Arrival in Madrid and private transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Madrid.
DAY 11: Madrid – Toeldo – Madrid: Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, sightseeing in Madrid. Let yourself be surprised by the historical and contemporary sites and the dynamic and vibrant lifestyle of the madrileños. In the afternoon, we set off to the beautiful city-museum of Toledo, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe, with artistic beauty and buildings from almost every period of history (Arab, Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance and Baroque styles). Toledo is named the “City of Three Cultures” because it served as home to the Christians, Muslims and Jews. In the 16th century, it was also the residence of the great painter El Greco. In Toledo, do not miss the Mosque of El Cristo de la Luz, the Cathedral, the Church of São Tomé and the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca. Return to Madrid. Overnight in Madrid.
DAY 12: Madrid – Barcelona: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Private transfer from the hotel to the train station. Departure by train from Madrid to Barcelona. Arrival in Barcelona and private transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Barcelona.
DAY 13: Barcelona – Montserrat – Barcelona: Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing of Barcelona, capital of Catalonia, a cosmopolitan Mediterranean city that incorporates in its urban traces Roman remains, medieval districts and the most beautiful examples of modernism and avant-garde buildings of the 20th. Enjoy a visit to the imposing Sagrada Familia Cathedral. In the afternoon, we continue to Montserrat, a mountain of unique shapes and mole of gray stones. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Barcelona.
DAY 14: Barcelona: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Private transfer from the hotel to Barcelona airport.
