Collect your car and make your way to agriturismo Villanova, a 17th-century mansion in the heart of an agricultural estate a short distance from Monterosso and the Cinque Terre. The complex offers ample outdoor spaces, organic food, a wide choice of wellness treatments and a rigenerating immesion in an incontaminated nature. On the way there, do not miss a stop in Camogli and Santa Margherita Ligure, for a first tasting of Ligurian Riviera.

Dinner basket at the hotel.

Today’s recommended activity in-house one-hour relaxing or energizing massage.

DAY 2: Hiking beyond the Cinque Terre (approx. 18 km)
Beyond the famous Cinque Terre, Ligurian Riviera showcases some of the cutest villages of Italy, connected by a wide network of footpaths. From Levanto, with approximately 1.5 hours walking, you can reach Bonassola, nestled between two promontories and completely out of the mainstream routes. For those eager to walk a little more, Monterosso is at 2.5 hours from Agriturismo Villanova, through luxuriant vegetation.

Dinner at leisure.

Today’s recommended activity picnic basket, hiking sticks and map

DAY 3: Exploring Cinque Terre by boat
From Levanto pier, purchase tickets for the public boats to the Cinque Terre. The Cinque Terre is a beautiful stretch of rugged coast named after the five picturesque fishing villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. The area was inaccessible from the land for centuries, isolated by mountains on one side and by the sea on the other. The main source of livelihood for the inhabitants has been agriculture, notably grapes training. This led to an effective use of the little soil available that shaped the scenery in a unique combination of nature and man’s work. The typical cuisine of the area, completed by some excellent wines, is one of the best expressions of this peculiarity.

Dinner at leisure.

Today’s recommended activity wine tasting in a farm in Monterosso.

DAY 4: Check out
Check out and make your way to drop off your vehicle, or continue your self-drive experience to Agriturismo Cà del Re (approx. 230 km) or Agriresort Poggio Casciano (approx. 192 km). Heading to Florence, make a detour to Lucca, to explore this delightful town, entirely surrounded by a city wall on whose top you can stroll or, even better, rent a bike for a full tour. Heading to Genoa, do not miss a stop here. Its historic center showcases some UNESCO’s heritage sites, like the Palazzi dei Rolli and its tiny alleys, the caruggi, sum up the character of all Mediterranean countries.
