Asinelli Tower with Local Food Tasting in Small Group
The Asinelli Tower seems to get lost in the sky, and thanks to its 97.20m in height, it is the tallest medieval leaning tower in the world. It was built between 1109 and 1119 by the Asinelli family, and there is a legend of love about its origin.

The Two Towers of Bologna (the Asinelli Tower and La Garisenda) are the city’s symbol and are located in the historic center, at the intersection of the ancient Via Emilia. They were built with both military and noble functions in the medieval period.

Between the 12th and 13th centuries, the number of towers in the city was over 100, so Dante called Bologna “La Selva Turrita” (The Towered Jungle). Today, only 22 remain still standing, but the most famous are the Asinelli Tower and the Garisenda Tower.

Get on the Asinelli Tower and climb the 498 steps to the top; the reward is an astonishing view that overlooks the whole city! Afterward, use your vouchers and enjoy a tasting of typical food in selected shops in the city center and discover the Bolognese tradition.
