Day 1: Arrival Thessaloniki – transfer to hotel, Thessaloniki: Arrival at Thessaloniki’s airport pick up and transfer to hotel. Check in at the hotel, dinner at local restaurant and overnight.

Day 2: Winery visit in Drama, overnight Kavala: Breakfast at the hotel and departure to visit a winery in Drama. About 20km north west of the city of Drama, the first winery is situated on the footslopes of Mount Falakro. Along with the native varieties like Assyrtiko and Agiorgitiko, also French varieties like Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay and Syrah,and the Spanish variety Tempranillo are growing. After the tasting there will be time to visit Ancient Filippoi and lunch.Continue to the city of Kavala for overnight.

Day 3: Winery visit in Kokkinohori, overnight Olympiada: Breakfast at the hotel, check out and departure for the winery. Next stop Kokkinohori at the foothills of the Mt Pangeon, winemaking tradition of the area dates to the ancient times the first appearance of winemaking in Greece dates to 4300 BC. Greek Assyrtiko and Agiorgitiko and the foreign Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillion, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are some of the grape varieties grown. In the area we can visit Amphipolis archaeological site and the well-known Lion of Amphipolis. Continue to Olympiada for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Visit winery in Sithonia, overnight Naousa: Breakfast at the hotel and departure to visit a winery in Sithonia, the second peninsula of Chalkidiki. Visit one of the biggest vineyards of Europe, and the biggest organic vineyards in Greece. The natural beauty of the landscape makes it a magical place. The wine tour includes the visit of the experimental vineyard, the winery and cellar and wine testing. The historical varieties of grapes that are growing there such Malagouzia, Limnio, Cabernet sauvignon, Sauvignon blanc, etc., enriched with new varieties such as Muscat of Alexandria, Viogner, Chardonnay, Mavrodaphne, and Mavrotragano, in total 26 different varieties of grapes. Leaving Sithonia behind and after a lunch by the sea, drive to Naousa for overnight. On the way visit of Vergina museum, an exceptional heritage from the ancient world, at the heart of the Macedonian Kingdom.

Day 5: Visit winery in Giannakochori, overnight Naousa: Breakfast at the hotel and departure at the area of Giannakochori on the slopes of Mount Vermion, enjoy the tour of the vineyard and winery with a breath-taking view, and taste the high-quality wines. The day continues with a tour of the city Lefkadia , Mieza , Agios Nikolaos. The day ends with dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Visit winery in Amyntaio, overnight Metsovo: Breakfast and check out, leave Naousa behind for Amyntaio. On the way short stop to Edessa to admire the waterfalls. Continue to Amyntaio, the vineyard which is neighbouring two lakes consists of the following varieties: Xinomavro, Mavrodapnhe, Syrah, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Tannat, Montepulciano, Negro Amaro, Barbera, Malagouzia, Sauvigon Blanc, Chardonnay & Gewürztraminer. The road trip continues to the traditional village of Metsovo. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Visit winery in Metsovo, overnight Thessaloniki: Breakfast and check out, depart for the visit to the local winery. After the wine tasting spend some free time in this traditional village before the way back to Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: City tour – transfer to Macedonia airport: Breakfast check out and city tour, according to the flight time transfer to the airport of Thessaloniki for the flight back.
