Day 1: Arrival in Thessaloniki: Arrival at Thessaloniki’s Airport. Transfer to the hotel in Thessaloniki’s city center for check-in & overnight.

Day 2: Thessaloniki City Tour: After breakfast we will start the tour of Thessaloniki, passing through the main sights i.e. the picturesque old town, the Byzantine church of Agios Dimitrios, the Arch of Galerius, the Rotunda monument & the emblematic church of Agia Sophia. We shall walk through the lively city center, while passing by the White Tower symbol of our city. Transfer back to the hotel. Evening free. Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 3: Thessaloniki – Ancient Stagira – Ouranoupoli: Breakfast check out and we continue our tour in Thessaloniki to discover some further hidden gems of the city like the Byzantine Church Panagia Acheiropoietos and the Church of the Holy Apostles. Guided Tour of the Archaeological Museum before departing to Chalkidiki peninsula, to visit Ancient Stagira to discover the birthplace of the famous philosopher Aristoteles and admire the magnificent view from the hilltop by the sea (no guide service). Further on to Ouranoupoli for check-in & overnight. 

Day 4: Amphipolis – Philippi – Kavala: Breakfast check out and departure to Amfipolis with its impressive archaeological site & archaeological museum. Admire the Lion of Amfipolis, an imposing stone tomb dating back to the 4th century B.C. Further on we continue to Philippi for visiting the ancient town, a settlement founded by Alexander the Great’s father. Then, departure to Kavala the amphitheatric town, where East meets West in a city in Northern Greece with Ottoman treasures, Byzantine walls, and a lively harbor. Check-in & evening free to discover yourselves the city. Overnight. 

Day 5: Pella – Vergina – Edessa: After breakfast we check out and depart to the ancient city of Pella to discover the glorious kingdom of Ancient Macedonia. Further on we shall visit the archaeological site of Vergina, once the capital of the Macedonian Kingdom and nowadays one of the most important archeological sites of Greece. Visit of the museum with the Royal tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. Then, we continue to Veroia for some free time to discover the old city with the old synagogue & the religious monument of St. Paul’s Tribune. Late in the evening. Departure to Edessa city for check-in & overnight. 

Day 6: Edessa – Prespes – Kastoria: Breakfast and check out from the hotel before we begin the walking tour to discover Edessa, the city of waters. We shall visit the Byzantine Church of Koimisis, while passing through the old city named “Varosi”. Our tour will end at the waterfall-park with the impressive waterfalls, followed by a visit at the Museum of water and watermills. Further on we continue to Prespa lake, to admire its wildlife and nature, while passing by Agios Germanos Village before arriving in Kastoria city for check-in & overnight. 

Day 7: Kastoria – Metsovo – Monodendri: Breakfast check out and we start our tour in Kastoria, the city by the lake. We shall visit some of its impressive Byzantine churches along with the famous Byzantine Monastery of Panagia Mavriotissa, while we will scroll around the old city and the lake. Further on we shall make a stop at the traditional village of Metsovo in the mountains of Pindus. On the way to Monodendri we shall drive to Oxya Viewpoint, to admire Vikos Gorge before visiting the well-known cliff hanging Monastery of Agia Paraskevi. Our last stop will be at Beloi viewpoint, to be able to have some more breathtaking views of Vikos Gorge at all its length. On our way we will have the chance to admire ourselves some of the most staggering arched bridges of the area before arriving at Monodendri Village for check-in & overnight. (no guide service) 

Day 8: Zagorochoria – Monodendri: After breakfast we drive to Oxya Viewpoint, to admire Vikos Gorge before visiting the well-known cliff hanging Monastery of Agia Paraskevi. Next stop will be at Beloi viewpoint, to be able to have some more breathtaking views of Vikos Gorge at all its length. On our way we will have the chance to admire some of the most staggering arched bridges of the area before arriving back at Monodendri (no guide service). 

Day 9: Papigo villages – Ioannina: After breakfast we will head to Vikos Village to visit the Church of Agios Trifonas. Short stop at Vikos Gorge Viewpoint before arriving in the famous Papigo Villages where we will have the chance to visit the important Church of Agioi Taxiarches. Zagorochoria is a complete way to discover the local way of living in nature. In the afternoon transfer to Ioannina. Check in at the hotel free time & overnight (no guide service). 

Day 10: Ioannina & Dodoni Tour – Ioannina: After breakfast starts the tour of the capital city of Epirus, a city which spreads around the beautiful lake Pamvotida. We shall discover the castle town of Ioannina and the Ali Pasha Museum located at a small island in the middle of the lake. Our tour will continue with a visit at Dodoni archaeological site, which with its imposing theatre, the sanctuary and an acropolis enclosed by fortified walls is held to be the oldest of the Greek oracles and is unique in its time. Transfer back to Ioannina for overnight. 

Day 11: Departure – Thessaloniki: After breakfast, your trip of full of images, experiences and tastes has come to a close. We will check out and head to the airport of Thessaloniki for the flight back.
