Day 1: Frankfurt – Heidelberg: Arrival in Frankfurt. Take the train to Heidelberg.

Day 2: Heideilberg – Neustadt a.d. Weinstrasse: Train ride to the city of Neustadt a.d. Weinstraße (approx. 1h), capital of the region palatinate and one of the main wine-producing centers in Germany. From here it is only 15 minutes to Bad Dürkheim, where the largest Wine Festival in the world takes place for 9 days! Enjoy the best variety of wines in one of the traditional festival tents accompanied by traditional and cheerful music.

Day 3: Neustadt a.d. Weinstrasse: Today a wine tasting waits for you in one of the best known wineries in the area. Afterwards you have to option to go back to the Wine Festival or to go on an excursion to the nearby city of Speyer (Speyer) with its impressive cathedral.

Day 4: Neustadt – Frankfurt:Take the train from Neustadt to Frankfurt.

NOTE: The package can be perfectly combined with the visit of the Rhine and Moselle Valley or with the Rhineland-Palatinate Wine Route!

NOTE: The Wine Festival in Bad Dürkheim always takes place on the second and third weekend of September. If your trip does not match these dates, ask us, there are several more wine festivals in this region during the harvest season.
