Day 1 Frankfurt – Rüdesheim
The first day of your trip will take you to the southwestern region of the country. On the way to Rudesheim, you can see the vines growing on the slopes of the Rhine. Visit the wine museum, where you can taste the regional wine (optional). Then enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the region. In Rüdesheim, a panoramic walk through the old city and the famous and narrow Drosselgasse.
Day 2 Rüdesheim – St. Goar – Koblenz
In the morning, discover the beautiful region of the Rhine with its vineyards, rivers and castles, on a beautiful boat trip to St. Goar, this is the most picturesque stretch of the River Rhine, known as the Loreley Valley, full of ancient forts and castles. The boat trip continues to the ancient Roman city of Koblenz.
Day 3 Koblenz – Trier
Today, walk through the villages along the valley of the river Moselle. This region is famous for its vineyards. In Cochem, visit the famous Castle “Burg Eltz”. The next part of the trip will be discovered by boat, sailing along the Moselle River to Bernkastel-Kues, a beautiful and romantic city on the banks of the river. Continuation to Trier, an old Roman village, with more than 2 thousand years of history. At the end of the day, enjoy a wine tasting in Trier.
Day 4 Trier – Bockenheim – Bad Dürkheim
In the morning, discover the various old buildings of the city of Trier. Then, the journey continues towards the famous “Weinstraße”(wine route). The first stop will be in Bockenheim, known for its Grape Madonna“Traubenmadonna”. Then the trip continues to Bad Dürkheim, where the largest barrel in the world, with a volume of 1.7 million liters, is located. At night, a delicious 3-course menu awaits you inside this giant barrel.
Day 5 Bad Dürkheim – German Wine Route – Bad Dürkheim
Today is the day to visit the famous wine route. Go through narrow roofs in small wine-growing villages and curved up vineyards. It is possible to stop in each village for a wine tasting, in the various vinicolas along the way. We will pass through Neustadt, Wachenheim, Edenkoben, until arriving at Schweigen-Rechtenbach, which is the gateway to the German wine route.
Day 7 Bad Dürkheim – Heidelberg
In the morning, travel to Heidelberg,Germany’s oldest university city, is one of the most visited places because of its idyllic location on the banks of the Neckar. First visit its famous castle, ending with a wine tasting in the vinoteca. Then visit the charming old town.
Day 8 Heidelberg – Frankfurt
Return to Frankfurt. On the way, tour through Worms, known as “the city of Nibelungs”. Along with the cathedrals of Speyer and Mainz, the cathedral of Worms forms part of the most wonderful creations of Romanesque Churches. After a panoramic tour of the city, the trip ends in Frankfurt.
