Itinerary:

DAY 1: Munich: Arrival in Munich and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the city’s main attractions, concluding at the Marienplatz square with its famous clock tower.

DAY 2: Munich – Chiemsee -Berchtesgaden – Salzburg: Today we depart Munich for Salzburg. On the way, we will stop at Lake Chiemsee, a beautiful freshwater lake, often known as the “Sea of Bavaria”. We continue to the village of Berchtesgaden and Lake Königssee. Enjoy a short stop at this idyllic German town nestled into majestic mountains. In the afternoon, we arrive in Salzburg, birthplace of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Walk through the city, admire the gardens of Mirabell, and enjoy the beautiful views of the fortress of Salzburg, the Cathedral, and the Getreidegasse.

DAY 3: Salzburg – Lake District – Melk – Krems – Vienna: After breakfast, we travel to the Lakes district of Salzburg, known as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. We continue to Melk where you will visit the Benedictine Abbey of Melk, the most representative baroque monument of Austria. We will take a boat trip along the most picturesque section of the Danube River, letting you experience Melk from all angles. The river cruise will disembark in Krems, where we will continue the trip to Vienna, the grandiose capital of Austria.

DAY 4: Vienna: In the morning, take a sightseeing tour through the city of Vienna. Admire the Opera, the Hofburg Palace, the Heroes‘ Gate, the Parliament and the Town Hall. The afternoon is free at your leisure, and we recommend visiting a local Vienna coffee house. According to UNESCO, a relaxing afternoon in a coffee house is a cornerstone of Vienna culture. In the evening, you can attend a gala dinner accompanied by live classical music (not included).

DAY 5: Vienna – Budapest: After breakfast, visit the Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Austrian imperial family. Afterwards, we continue the trip to Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Budapest is known for its historic bath houses, earning it the title “Spa Capital of the World”. The Danube River divides the city into two parts: “Buda” and “Pest”.  In the afternoon, we visit the part “Buda”, the royal region of the city. Enjoy the view from Budapest‘s most impressive gazebo, Gellért Hill.

DAY 6: Budapest: The day begins with a visit to the major attractions of the “Pest” area, such as the Heroes‘ Square, the Opera House and the Basilica of St. Stephen. Afternoon is free to visit a local bath house, tour the beautiful ruins in and around the city, or visit one of the many world class museums. Overnight in Budapest.

DAY 7: Budapest – Bratislava –Prague: Today we drive from Budapest via Bratislava to Prague. While in Bratislava, we will tour the city center then we continue to Prague, the so-called city of the hundred towers.

DAY 8: Prague: In the morning, enjoy a walk through the historic city center. Visit the Powder Tower, the Old Square, with its Astronomical Clock, and pass by Charles’s Bridge, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Prague Castle. The afternoon is free to enjoy at your leisure. Prague is known for its top notch shopping, and its famous beer culture. In the evening, enjoy a typical Czech dinner accompanied by a folkloric show.

DAY 9: Prague – Munich: In the morning transfer from Prague to Munich. The tour ends at the airport.
