The ‘Wonders of Turkey’ Gullet Cruise: there simply isn’t a better way to enjoy the turkish coast!

I took a gullet cruise along the Turkish coast a few years back, and it was an incredible experience. I will never forget the sensation I felt when I woke up in the morning, and I stepped onto the deck to admire the gorgeous turkish bay in the soft pinkish morning light. I was always the first one awake, because I loved the blissful solitude of the morning: the only sound that of the sea against the rocks, the salty smell of the sea breeze, the peace of the green-tourquoise water all around me. Far off I could see a small sailboat or two, a neighbor in the bay and faint reminder that someone else existed in the world…
These are places you can’t hope to reach in a normal cruise, these secluded, private, luxuriant bays. The sea in these quiet enclaves is as calm as a pool, and incredibly rich in different species. I remember taking a swim in the night water, black as ink, and seeing, with my every movement, a trail of light ignite. It was the bright plankton glowing in the dark like a trail of stardust fallen into the sea…
I remember in some bays we would swim to the coast and walk amongst the ruins of an ancient church, just sitting there, almost forgotten on the cliffs…
The coast of turkey is such a beautiful place to visit, and I wouldn’t recommend to do so any other way than on  a gullet. It’s a journey to undertake with few companions in exploration of the majestic beauty of sea and nature.
At Tourcrafters we take it to heart that you experience much more than a simple tourist. We want you to feel like a traveller, and I mean travel in the way it was conceived years ago, when the mystery and allure of the remote still existed.

I believe, the Wonders of Turkey truly is a package for the traveller. In this tour you will…
– spend 2 days discovering the ancient marvels of Istanbul;
– spend 2 days exploring the Turkish inland, discovering it’s characteristic villages and tasting local cuisine;
– board your gullet and spend 5 days sailing the turkish seas to behold one gorgeous bay after another…
